Often lost in the sheer magnitude of the Randolph Vaughn case is the overwhelming number of stolen items he and his codefendants allegedly had in their possession when arrested.
From the indictments returned last week, here is an accounting of just those items for which cases have been developed thus far:
Randolph Vaughn and Peggy Ann Dorsett:
•65-inch Toshiba television.
•42-inch Toshiba television.
•46 inch Toshiba television.
•29 packages of half center cut boneless pork loin.
•four packages of whole turkey breasts.
•two packages of smoked whole turkey breasts.
•19 packages of smokehouse apple wood bacon.
•approximately 155 tires of assorted sizes.
•Kubota rough terrain vehicle.
•stainless steel LG refrigerator.
•86 12-pound boxes of pork chops.
•81 21-pound boxes of beef sirloin strip steaks.
•96 20-pound boxes of beef tenderloin steaks.
•90 20-pound boxes of ground beef.
•119 bags of Birdseye frozen corn.
•five bags of frozen California mixed vegetables.
•105 bags of frozen mixed vegetables.
• 65 bags of frozen broccoli florets.
•124 bags of frozen peas.
•243 bags of frozen lima beans.
•219 bags of frozen field peas with snaps.
Vaughn and Dorsett were indicted for possessing a Kubota ZTR mower with the serial numbers removed.
Randolph Vaughn:
•46-inch Toshiba television.
•42-inch Toshiba television.
•stainless steel LG refrigerator.
Vaughn was indicted for paying Vincent Price for the installation of heating and air conditioning equipment with a stolen 46-inch Toshiba television. He was also indicted for paying Timothy Smith for labor with a stolen Toshiba television and a stolen LG refrigerator.
Jerry Lee Vaughn:
•Kubota rough terrain vehicle.
•Komatsu fork lift.
Lonnie D. Hines:
•John Deere 6300 tractor.
•Case skid steer loader.
•Kubota rough terrain vehicle.
•stainless steel LG refrigerator.
•40-foot military style flatbed trailer.
•Topper Jr. model 20 gauge shotgun.
•42-inch Toshiba television.
Rettnoller 48-foot flatbed trailer.
Hines was also indicted for having a Kawasaki 220 ATV with the serial number removed.
Randolph Vaughn was also charged with possessing multiple weapons despite his status as a convicted felon. Cited were felony convictions in 1988 in Spalding County for possessing a machine gun, theft by receiving stolen property and the sale of cocaine.
The weapons allegedly found in Vaughn’s possession included:
•Colt .44 magnum pistol with scope.
•Beretta 9 mm pistol.
•Lorcin .25 caliber pistol.
•Ruger .357 caliber pistol.
•Interarms .44 caliber pistol.
•Cobray .45 caliber pistol.
•two Remington Model 1100 12 gauge shotguns.
•Ruger M77 rifle.
•Rossi .410 gauge shotgun.
•Ruger .22 caliber rifle.
•Winchester M-59 12 gauge shotgun.
•Browning 10 gauge shotgun.
•Remington Model 12 12 gauge shotgun.
•Gazelle 12 gauge shotgun.
•Browning BAR II .243 rifle.
•Remington Model 11-87 12 gauge shotgun.
•Beretta 12 gauge shotgun.
•Ted Williams .22 caliber rifle.

With that much food, you would think his restaurant food would have been better and the prices lower. That was some lousy expensive food.

I agree! I only ate there once and the BBQ was terrible. Knowing now that all the food was stolen makes me glad I never went back.

No they dont care. It would be a different story if it was their property stolen. There are a lot of wealthy people in lamar co. and they dont steal, so I dont think anyone cared how much money he had. Its the way he got his money. He is a thief.
I would have an "extra dollar or two to spend" if I didn't care where it came from or how I obtained it. He's not disliked because he had money but because he took that money from innocent people who had to work to earn it. Did you read the list of things he had? It wasn't like he worked hard to earn that stuff. Also, having weapons in his possession was against the law. He was well aware of that. He didn't need that many guns to defend himself. This isn't the old west.
A wise man once said, don't do da crime if you ain't got the time. Ok it wasn't a wise man that said it but it does make since. Let Rudy step up, be a man and accept responsibilty for his actions. If his conversion was true then he needs to confess and make amends. The Bible says if you have ought against your brother make it right before praying to GOD.
Rudy, after you asked GOD for forgiveness how about asking your victims for forgiveness.

This large amount of weapons, food TV's and other things makes you wonder. Must have been very profitable, since he could come up with $100,000 cash bond, to get out and be on the street. I think there are more involved than those who got caught. It sort of made the Mayor of Milner look like the court jester, since he made so many statements about what a great place the BBQ place was going to be.

the scoop scoop is Jerry Vaughn led cops to Ben Harrisons house after being caught and the whole cargo load of John Deere Tractors as well as a buried tractor trailer was buried in his yard. He also had reportedly other items in his stash. He was tried in Lamar County and all charges were dismissed against him.

What a stash...I know of some "good ole boys" that have some like that... I guess when you confinscate from arrests and such it's your to keep. It may stay in the evidence room for a few months but after it goes to court somehow it never returns to that room and ends up as someone's collection.

You know what really sucks? It really sucks when there is an eye witness who can confirm what has took place. But you know what really, really just sucks? When there are security cameras that has just caught you violating someones rights. That really just sucks. It does not matter what the race, creed, or nationality is, when you are wrong, you are wrong. And at the end of time when we have done all we have done on this Earth and we stand before our maker. It wont matter if courts in this country find us guilty or not. What will matter is that God says I forgive you. Last I checked Jesus did not remove the state imposed penalty on the one who hung beside him on the cross. He just said I forgive you and today you will be with me in paridise.
So while you sit here and debate guilty or innocent. While you respond here about facts that you have no real clues about and then throw your racist remarks out on this blog. Know this I dont care who you are, if you have read this you have violated a law and deserve punishment. Maybe it is not mans law that you have violated but I promise you at some time or another you have violated God's law.
So it is a sad day when someone that is suppose to hold the publics trust and confidence and actually betrays the very oath they say they will stand by.
